PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting tool for a meter information reader 1 that can ensure mounting accuracy while improving the efficiency of mounting work by dispensing with trouble with an image check when the meter information reader 1 is mounted on a meter 2, and a mounting method that uses the mounting tool. SOLUTION: The mounting tool 6, which is used for the mounting on the meter 2 of the meter information reader 1 having an image pickup means 11 for picking up an image of an indication part 2A of the meter 2 for indicating measurement information and a reading means 12 for reading the indication information of the indication part 2A according to pickup image information by the image pickup means 11, has an aligning means capable of alignment in a read position of the indication part 2A, and a regulating means for regulating misalignment of the image pickup means 11 relative to the read position. |
