The device for opening plastic bags which have a precut line (2A) or line of weakness comprises a cylinder (1A) incorporated in the bag near the line. This assists pulling the top of the bag while it is held in the other hand. Independent claims are included for: (a) a bag incorporating the device; and (b) a method for making the bag.
