The invention concerns a cosmetic composition comprising finely-divided solid particles including at least an insoluble inorganic compound, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, the inorganic compound being selected among: (i) oxides of elements of column 1, 2, and 3 of the periodic table, whereof the atomic number is less than 58; (ii) carbides, nitrides, borides, sulphides and hydroxides of elements of columns 1 and 2 of the periodic table; (iii) inorganic salts of elements of column 1 to 12 of the periodic table, whereof the anion is free of silicon, aluminium or chromium atom.
