PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recognition and indication projector that can efficiently and widely inform surrounding people of the position of a road sign and the like at dusk or at night, and of a plurality of striped or round dotted patterns of light by projecting light on a road surface or a target surface as a method of recognition and information in the spot of traffic regulation or accident control. SOLUTION: This recognition and indication projector 18 is constituted so that a ring edge 11 equipped with a shading plate 14 and a transparent plate 12 with emission holes 13 of a plurality of narrow belt-like slits or round holes is turnably engaged with the front opening of a case 1 which contains a light source lamp 8 and a reflecting case 2.
