PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface emitting laser element, capable of reducing wavelength shifting due to the strain of an active layer by oscillating with a low threshold value current by easily obtaining an oscillation light of a single mode. SOLUTION: The surface emitting laser element comprises a drive base, and a surface emitting laser lower base. The drive base has a first mirror layer 1, a deflection film 2 in which the layer 1 is disposed, a support substrate 4 disposed at an opposite side to the layer 1 of the film 2 via a first air gap 3, and a pair of displacement control electrodes 5a, 5b provided at the film 2 and the substrate 4 to control a deflection amount. |
