PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas insulated transformer which reduces gas feed noises and is equipped with a cooling means in a compact configuration. SOLUTION: A high pressure winding and a low pressure winding comprising a winding 2 are composed of cylindrical windings, a forward inclined multi-wing is used as a blower 19 for circulating cooling medium gas, and the operating condition of this blower is set so that a flow rate can become <=15 m<3> /min and static pressure can become <=200 mmAq.
