PURPOSE: An automatic on-off apparatus for entrance light is provided to achieve improved accuracy of detection by using a pair of pyroelectric sensors for sensing the temperature of human body through the use of infrared ray. CONSTITUTION: An automatic on-off apparatus for entrance light, comprises a sensor unit(10) for detecting the entry and exit of persons; an active element unit(20) including a discriminating circuit section(21) electrically connected to the sensor unit so as to receive a detection signal from the sensor unit and discriminate the entry and exit of persons, a counter section(22) electrically connected to the discriminating circuit section so as to receive a discriminating signal from the discriminating circuit section and count the number of persons, and a calculating circuit(23) electrically connected to the counter section so as to control on-off operation of an entrance light(35) in accordance with the number of persons entering or going out from the entrance; and a driver circuit(30) electrically connected to the calculating circuit so as to turn on/off the power of the entrance light. |
