PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-saving mode control method and an electronic imaging device which extends the continuance of a battery by having no effect on user's operation and obtaining an effective power-saving mode. SOLUTION: When a second control means which always drives a first control means controlling power supply to respective parts for processing, storing, and reproducing a picked-up image by a battery and a secondary battery meets specific power-saving mode conditions, specific counting is carried out and when the power-saving mode conditions are still met at the end of the counting, the communication between the first and second control means is cut off; and the first control means having detected the communication being cut stops supplying the electric power to the respective parts and stops its clock to enter a sleep mode. |
