PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-chip temperature detecting device, capable of quickly detecting temperature with high accuracy, while increase in the number of element manufacturing processes and chip area are suppressed, with no separate temperature detecting means required. SOLUTION: A very small constant current Ib2, which does not turn on a current control type element 4, flows in a base, when the element 4 is off, and the temperature characteristics of a forward voltage Vb2 of a base-emitter diode is utilized to detect a temperature; no separate temperature detecting means is required; and while increase in the number of element manufacturing processes and chip area are suppressed, to enable quick detection of the temperature by on-chip method with high accuracy. |
