PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent recurrence of an error due to retransmission of data as they are when it has occurred during data transmission, and reduce the load on a network. SOLUTION: A data transmitter MFP1 is provided with a detector 202, a retransmission data generator 203, and a retransmitter 204. When a transmission error is detected by the detector 202 while data are being sent to a receiving terminal 300, the data generator 203 temporarily stores necessary data for retransmission as retransmission data 102. After confirmation by the detector 202 of information indicating that the receiving terminal 300 is ready to receive data, the retransmitter 204 retransmits data based on the data 102.
