PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device which is capable of preventing the decease of a service life by the deterioration of phosphors with producing more uniform brightness on phosphors even if the quantity of an irradiating electron beam differs in different positions of phosphors, and also provide a manufacturing method of the image-forming device. SOLUTION: This image-forming device has a special structure of carbon films 112 of which the respective thicknesses are nearly proportional to the quantity of respective reached electron beams, thence the distribution of the quantities of irradiating electron beams on phosphors 101, 102 and 103 is blunted because parts of irradiating electron beams are scattered and absorbed by films 112, then the phosphors 101, 102 and 103 can be prevented from the decrease of the service life due to deterioration with age in the region being irradiated with most electron beams, at the same time the region being irradiated with relatively small electron beams receives the scattered electrons from the other phosphors so that the quantity of its irradiating electron beam will increase, and then its brightness also increases, as a result the distribution of brightness in the phosphors 101, 102 and 103 is blunted and then every phosphor will emit light equally.
