PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin type reflection display device, in which deterioration in display quality by moire pattern or surface reflection and interference fringes caused by a front light is controlled. SOLUTION: This lighting device 111 is equipped with a light source 112, a reflecting sheet 113 formed around the light source 112 and a light guide plate 114 which conducts light from the light source 112 to the reflection display device 121. The light guide plate 114 has an incident surface where light from the light source 112 is incident, an output surface which outputs light and an opposite surface being opposite to the output surface. At the position near the output surface rather than the opposite surface in the interior of the light guide plate 112, a space 118 that acts as a plurality of low refraction areas is arranged along the output surface. |
