摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propagation path fluctuation estimation device that can adaptively change the number of FFT(fast fourier transform) points used for detecting a maximum Doppler frequency depending on a mobile speed of a mobile terminal. SOLUTION: The propagation path fluctuation estimation device that applies Fourier transform to a reference signal included in a received signal so as to estimate a maximum Doppler frequency thereby estimating fluctuations in a wireless propagation path characteristic due to Doppler shift fading, is provided with a threshold value discrimination section 104 that compares e.g. a past maximum Doppler frequency estimation value with a prescribed threshold value so as to discriminate the magnitude, an FFT point selection section 105 that can reduce the sampling frequency for the Fourier transform and the number of samples when the maximum Doppler frequency estimation value is lower than the threshold value in the discrimination result and an FFT 101.
