PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can prevent a gap due to the resolution difference between an image and area data. SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with a scanner for reading a document, a display coordinates indicator and an operation part for specifying an area to be image-processed to a specific area within the read document, a memory for holding the data of the specified area, and an area signal generator for generating area signals to distinguish the area based on the data held in this memory, and performs a prescribed image processing to the image in the specified area. It is also provided with a timing modifier which delays every starting point or advances every end point of the area signals at the time of their generation, so that any gap between the specified area and the read image can be prevented by the shifting of the data generation timing at every starting and end point.
