<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge interface detector and a sludge interface measuring instrument capable of enhancing detection accuracy for a sludge interface. SOLUTION: This sludge interface measuring instrument has the vertically movable sludge interface detector 6 for detecting a sludge interface, that is, an interface between a sludge phase and a liquid phase. The interface detector 6 has a detector body 15. A through hole 17 vertically bored through the detector body 15 and a pair of sensor-housing recessed parts 19A and 19B disposed opposite to each other with the hole 17 interposed between them are formed in the detector body 15. The recessed parts 19A and 19B house therein light emitting and receiving parts 18A and 18B, respectively, in a confronting manner. The hole 17 is provided with tapered parts 21 and 22 narrowing from the upper and lower ends, respectively, of the detector body 15 toward its inner side.</p> |
