PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation renovation projecting sash window capable of supporting the weight of a new heat insulating sash frame by a sill of the residual metal sash frame and, at the same time, preventing an outdoor chill from being transferred to an indoor side of a sill of the heat insulating sash frame through the sill of the metal sash frame. SOLUTION: The heat insulating sash frame 20 is mounted to the outdoor side from the residual metal sash frame 3, and an outdoor side of the sill 22 of the heat insulating sash frame 20 is brougt into contact with a substrate material 12 mounted to the sill 5 of the metal sash frame 3 through a supporting material 17 to support the weight of the hear insulating sash frame 20 by the sill 5. By the constitution, the outdoor chill is prevented from being transferred to the indoor side of the sill 22 of the heat insulating sash frame 20 through the sill 5.
