1302113 Nitrothiazole derivatives DR RAR.L THOMAE GmbH 8 April 1970 [9 April 1969] 16695/70 Addition to 1250353 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] The novel compound, 2-[(4,5,5-trimethyl- 1,3- oxazolidin - 2 - ylidene) - amino] - 5 - nitrothiazole, and its acid addition salts, are prepared by (a) reacting a compound of Formula I (in which each of R 1 and R 2 is a halogen atom or an alkylthio, aralkylthio or alkenylthio group, or R 1 and R 2 together represent a C 1-3 bismercaptoalkylene group) with 2-amino-3- methylbutan-3-ol, or (b) reacting 2-amino-5- nitrothiazole with a compound of Formula II (in which R 3 is an alkyl, aralkyl or alkeny group), or (c) nitrating 2-[(4,5,5-trimethyl-1,3- oxazolidin-2-ylidene)-amino]-thiazole, and, if desired, converting the product into an acid addition salt. |
