PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material having an even layer without unevenness of coating by reducing plane troubles in an uppermost layer which easily affect characteristics of the thermal recording material. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material, in which at least a thermal recording layer is disposed on a substrate, is characterized in that an uppermost part thereof is provided with a layer constituted by applying and drying a coating liquid in which the quantity of variation of surface tension is taken as 1.0 mN/m or less when the surface area of a measuring object liquid is varied continuously. |
