PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomass gasifier capable of cleanly and efficiently gasify ing by utilizing biomass. SOLUTION: This biomass gasifier is to be used for obtaining a product gas by putting biomass and a combustion oxidizing agent such s oxygen to gasifying combustion at high temperatures, and includes a biomass feed means 14 for feeding the biomass 13 ground to a specified size into the gasifier, a combustion oxidizing agent feed means 16 for feeding oxygen or air 15 into the furnace, and a steam feed means 18 for feeding steam 17 into the furnace, each on the top 12 of the gasifier body 11 made of a refractory material.
