PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air motor for an air tool capable of rotating a rotor at a high rotational speed such as several then thousand revolutions per minute by compressed air increased in jet speed. SOLUTION: A disclike rotor 2 provided with a rotor shaft 2a is rotatably arranged in a cylinder 3, and an air introduction hole 4 having an opening part on the end face of the rotor 2 and a plurality of jet holes 5 communicating with the outer peripheral face of the rotor 2 from the air introduction hole 4 to jet air in the rear of rotation in the peripheral direction are formed in the rotor 2. A plurality of air supply holes 6 provided peripherally at positions opposing to the opening part of the air introduction hole 4 of the rotor 2, recessed and projecting parts 7 provided peripherally at positions opposing to the jet holes 5 of the rotor 2, and a plurality of exhaust holes 8 formed in the vicinity of the recessed and projecting parts are provided in the cylinder 3. |
