PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a liquid penetrant testing device which can inspect a part, to be inspected, in a narrow part so as to be brought close to the part to be inspected. SOLUTION: A small observation unit is constituted by combining a ring- shaped black light 1 with a CCD camera 3 so as to be capable of intruding into the narrow part. In the black light 1, a rod-shaped light emitting part is formed in a ring shape, terminals in both ends of the black light 1 are connected to a socket 2 in one place, and a light source in a shape which can be put into a small space and which can emit light is realized. A prism 4 at the tip of the CCD camera 3 is combined so as to be situated on the center line of the ring shape part of the black light 1 in the black-light light source. Thereby, the thin observation unit which can observe (photograph) both the side direction and the front direction is constituted.
