A toner comprising a binder resin, a colorant, an antistatic agent, and a thiazolyl disulfide compound or thiuram disulfide compound; and a process for producing a toner which comprises polymerizing a polymerizable-monomer composition comprising a polymerizable monomer and a colorant in an aqueous medium in the presence of a compound selected among (1) thiazole thiocompounds, (2) thiuram compounds, and (3) dithiocarbamic acid compounds.
