[Also in Division H1] In an electromagnet assembly for a thermoelectric ignition safety device of a pilot burner system, the wound U-core 10 co-operates with spring-loaded armature 12 mounted on operating stem 13 for an ignition safety valve member 16. The magnet being carried on a support plate 14 with a central bore 141 and covered by snap-on cap 15 fitting peripheral groove 142 of the support plate bushed to receive the valve stem 13. One end of the magnet winding is connected to support plate 14, and to earth conductor 182, while a centrally flanged sleeve 19 is inserted in bore 141, insulated by discs 20, 21, sealed by ring 22, and fixed by swaging the inner end. The remaining magnet connection is inserted in the sleeve together with central conductor 181 of a thermo-element 18, and the ends are soldered together through aperture 193 in the peripheral wall of the outer end of the sleeve. |
