PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts and thereby reduce weight, cost and assembly man-hours in a reclining vehicle seat device in which the seat back is fixed in a prescribed position using a striker. SOLUTION: A striker 4 engaging with a locking mechanism 3 provided in a seat back 1 is provided on a turn locus A of the locking mechanism 3, and the striker 4 has a turning shaft 4a turnably supported on a base plate 6 fixed to a vehicle body and a front engagement portion 41a erected on the turn locus A from the turning shaft 4a, and a rear engagement portion 42a, and both engagement portions 41a and 42a are arranged in front and rear different positions on the turn locus A and positions differing by 90 degrees around the turning shaft 4a.
