Pyrotechnical belt-tightening drive comprises a pressure chamber having a pressure relief opening (24) leading to the environment, a piston (16) moving in the pressure chamber, and a pyrotechnic charge (20), which when activated drives the piston in the pressure space (18) using pressure gas. A nozzle head (26) made from a low-melting-point material, especially a low-melting-point alloy, is inserted in the pressure relief opening. An Independent claim is also included for a belt-tightener.
