<p>The tape winder drum (28) is connected to a return spring (30). The winder drum includes a locking mechanism which prevents the return of the tape (20) into the housing (12), and an unlocking system which frees the tape so that it returns into the housing. The converter (10) has a viewing window (38) with magnifying lens. A second currency converter has a rate of exchange fixed with respect to a first currency converter. The currency converter (10) includes, a housing (12) having front, rear and side faces; a viewing window (38) mounted on a lateral face (18), and a tape (20). The tape has a first face (22) on which is spread a first series of values in a first currency and a second face (24) on which is spread a second series of values in a second currency. The tape is wound on a winding drum and passes out of and back into the housing via a slot in the lateral face (18). The first and second series of currency values are spread out so that when the tape is at least partially withdrawn, a value in the first series appears near to the output slot, which is equivalent to a value in the second series displayed in the window (38).</p> |
