PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for a light alloy injection molding machine capable of maintaining its original high-temperature strength characteristic of nickel-based heat-resistant steel and sufficiently backing up a covered layer on an inner surface of the member for the injection molding machine which is subjected to the maximum injection pressure, and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: In this member for the light alloy injection molding machine, the covered layer 3 formed of an erosion-resistant material is formed on at least a part of a base metal 2 of a hollow cylindrical cylinder in contact with molten metal to constitute a cylinder body 1, and the cylinder body is fitted in an outer cylinder 4 formed of nickel-based heat-resistant steel.
