An system for locating interchangeable bio-filter cartridges in ventilation shafts, is new. An system for locating interchangeable bio-filter cartridges in ventilation shafts, comprises holding members and a seal orientated towards the shaft wall. A flat carrier plate fits into the shaft and has an opening into which the bio-filter cartridge locates. The outer circumference of the carrier plate has a flexible seal, especially a sealing lip. The holding members consist of flat material which is angled. The bio-filter cartridge is cylindrical.
