Coolable turbine shroud and process of manufacturing the shroud

Guide ring (18) for a turbine comprises a housing with several rows of guide blades and a rotor with several rows of rotating blades. The guide ring has an external wall (19) facing the housing and an internal wall (20) facing the rotor. The walls are arranged a distance apart by a hollow chamber (21) and connected together by a number of support elements (22). The outer wall, the inner wall and the support elements are connected to each other in one material piece. The outer wall is several times, preferably 2-7 times thicker than the internal wall. The height of the hollow space is smaller than the thickness of the outer wall but greater than the thickness of the inner wall. Independent claims are also included for a process for producing the above guide ring and for a gas turbine comprising the above guide ring.
