PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crushing or fracturing waste plastic easily. SOLUTION: This plastic crushing method is carried out by heating inorganic powder containing an alkaline compound to the prescribed temperature higher than the softening point of the thermoplastic resin to be treated and lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the thermoplastic resin and bringing the heated inorganic powder into contact with the crushed thermoplastic resin while being agitated.
