PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-stage type evaporating/concentrating device with a good heat efficiency enabling to reduce manufacture cost and adapted to down-sizing. SOLUTION: A N-fold utility can and a condensation can are constituted by adopting a vertical can body as a can body, providing vertical partition plates in the can body to divide the inside of the can body to N+1 parts. The vertical can body is horizontally divided to three parts to make a lower part as a liquid chamber, an intermediate part as a heat exchange chamber and an upper part as an evaporation chamber. A moisture content in a liquid to be concentrated is evaporated by a heat-transmission pipe of the heat exchange chamber. A multiple-effect principle that the steam is collected to the evaporation chamber and is further fed to the heat exchange chamber of a subsequent utility can to use it as a heating source is utilized. Whereas, in the condensation can, a cooling water and air are fed thereto to utilize an evaporation latent heat of the cooling water and thereby, a condensation efficiency is enhanced.
