PURPOSE: A safety apparatus for a platform of a train is provided to prevent accidents as collision or falling from the platform on the rail by installing an approach preventive apparatus in the platform. CONSTITUTION: A safety device in a platform is composed of a shutoff unit(4) installed around the safety line of the platform to prevent entrance of a passenger or falling, and a driving unit(6) placed at both ends of the shutoff unit to open and close the shutoff unit according to stopping or starting after the approach of the train to the platform. The shutoff unit is opened after stopping with accessing the train to the platform completely. Accidents as collision or falling on the rail are prevented with blocking the safety line of the platform by the shutoff unit in starting the train.
