PURPOSE: A system for testing and monitoring error of line and method thereof is abnormal and a method therefor are provided to have a stably optimum state by connecting a main distributing frame of each device connected to a telephone office to a test unit, transmitting information about all lines connected to the main distributing frame by a uniform time to a monitoring server, and monitoring whether the lines are abnormal in real time. CONSTITUTION: If systems are initialized, it is judged whether a setting time elapses(S200). If the setting time elapses, each of servers simultaneously and successively monitors lines according to each kind(S300). Data detected by monitoring devices are outputted and simultaneously stored(S400). The detected data are compared with basic data as a condition previously inputted in servers so that a corresponding system maintains an optimum state(S500). It is confirmed whether abnormality is generated in a corresponding line/extension number by the compared data(S600). If the abnormality is generated, a warning sound is generated and abnormal information of the line/extension number is outputted(S700). The detected data are transmitted to an upper system(S800).
