PURPOSE: A power saving device and method for double LCDs using vibration in a folder-type cellular phone is provided to prevent that a power is unnecessarily consumed by the LCD by adjusting the power saving of the LCD using the vibration in the folder-type cellular phone having internal and external LCDs. CONSTITUTION: A vibration sensor(311) senses vibration provided to a cellular phone. An opening and closing sensing unit(411) senses the opening and closing of a folder. A control unit(412) controls on/off of an external LCD(312) and an internal LCD(313) according to the opening or closing of the folder sensed by the opening and closing sensing unit(411), and turns on the external and internal LCDs(312,313) during a certain time when the vibration with a uniform level is sensed by the opening and closing sensing unit(411).
