PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical amplifier having a reflector of light that increases diffusion efficiency of the heat generated on the reflection surface of the reflector of light or ideally inhibits generation of heat, and to provide a semiconductor laser amplifier having a reflector of light which suitably increases stimulation efficiency. SOLUTION: In the optical amplifier having the reflector of light, a TEC section or a lens for collimation is provided between a reflection surface and optical fiber for expanding the beam waist of propagation light the metal layer on the reflection surface is formed to a thickness of 20μm or more for increasing the diffusion efficiency of heat, and a dielectric multilayer film is used on the reflection surface for eliminating the absorption of heat. Additionally, in the semiconductor laser amplifier, the reflector of light is provided for allowing propagation light to reciprocate and be transmitted through a semiconductor of a gain medium. |
