PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently guide the light emitted from light emitting elements to two perpendicular side surfaces of a case, and also to make the light visible from a position diagonal to the light emitting display surface. SOLUTION: The light emitting device is provided with a case 2 of which the luminous opening part 5 is formed extending the upper face 3a and the front face 3b perpendicular to each other, a light emitting element 8 arranged inside the case 2 positioned corresponding to the luminous opening part 5, and a light guide member 10 formed of a light-transmissive material of which the one end is engaged with the luminous opening part 5, a part of the upper part 3a and front part 3b of the case 2 is formed and also a light emitting display surface 11 is formed, and moreover, the other end is faced to the light emitting element 8, a light guide part 10d for guiding the emitted light inside is formed. The light guide member 10 is formed of a plurality of planes 14a-14c differing in an outer side wall angle on the rear face from each other, and the exit light emitted from the light emitting element 8 and guided inside via the light guide part 11d is surface-emitted from each plane 14a-14c, and thus any of the planes 14 is surface-emitted brightly when viewing the light emitting surface 11 from any direction, therefore, the light emitting state can be confirmed even from a diagonal position.
