PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OSD controller for a video camera, capable of performing OSD display satisfactorily even when a plurality of video display devices with different display areas are used for a video signal. SOLUTION: A display data HD to indicate a display position and a display area suitable for a video display device selected by a selecting circuit 10 are created, an OSD display signal HS is created by an OSD display signal creating circuit 7 based on the display data HD, defined as a video signal MS for display by mixing it with the video signal S and supplied to the selected video display device.
