Animal feed is obtained by mixing a grain material or a fiber material with at least one industrial waste containing protein of animal origin selected from the group consisting of fish-broth effluents, fish viscera and animal wastes, to form a mixture where the water content of the mixture is 45 wt% or less. Subsequently, koji mold is added to the mixture to cause fermentation, and drying it by utilizing heat generated by the fermentation to form the animal feed where the water content of the animal feed after fermentation and drying is 30 wt% or less. |
