Soluble molecules with sequences from CD28, CD86, CD80, CD40 or gp30, from the extracelluar domain of mutant CTL4 and an identification tag

An isolated soluble CTLA4 mutant molecule comprises sequences from three molecules. The first amino acid sequence is of a glycoprotein selected from CD28, CD86, CD80, CD40 and gp30. The second amino acid sequence comprises a portion of the extracellular domain of mutant CTLA4. The third amino acid sequence is an identification tag or enhances the solubility of the soluble CTLA4 mutant molecule. The third sequence can correspond to amino acid residues of the hinge, CH2 and CH3 regions of a non-immunogenic immunoglobin molecule or of the molecules p97, env gp120, E7 or ova.
