ELECTROCHEMICAL METHOD FOR THE LIQUID OXIDATION OF POLYCHLORO-BIBHENYLS

lectrochemical method for liquid state oxidation of Polychlrorobiphenyls (PCB's), either in pure form or mixed with solids or liquids. The method involves electrochemical liquid state oxidation of PCB's with the following parameters being controlled during the electrolysis: direct voltage and direct current intensity, temperature of the electrolysis liquid. Sodium chloride content of the electrolytic liquid, pH adjustment and selection of method of contact of PCBs with the liquid oxidant product of the electrolysis.
