PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for a lead wire of a battery, and a packaging material for the battery using the film that can stably seal, without causing short circuiting between a barrier layer of a sheathing body and the lead wire by the heat and pressure of a heat seal in inserting a battery body in the sheathing body with a heat sealing layer formed of a polypropylene resin, and sealing it by heat-sealing the peripheral edge in packaging the battery. SOLUTION: The peripheral edge part of the sheathing body, formed of a laminate with a heat sealing property on the inner surface is sealed by holding a lead wire body formed of elongate plate or bar-like metal, to the peripheral edge seal part of the sheathing body. The film, interposed between the laminate and the lead wire body in this sealing, is formed by blending unsaturated carboxylic acid graft propylene resin formed of a copolymer of ethylene and propylene with 3%-10% of ethylene component, with copolymer resin including other ethylene, and cross-linking at a gel fraction of 5%-70%. |
