A composition that may take the form of a dietary supplement or of a medicament is disclosed which comprises as active ingredients propionyl L-carnitine or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, and the isoflavone genistein (4',5,7-trihydroxyisoflavone) for the therapeutic treatment of osteoporosis and menopause syndrome.
