PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital copying machine equipped with a memory which stress image data read by an original reader capable of efficiently generating a plurality of perfected copies even if only an area for one side of an original is available in the memory. SOLUTION: This digital copying machine is provided with a means for compressing inputted image data, a means for detecting a residual memory capacity, and a means for forcedly switching any area other than an area for one face of an original in the memory to a compressed data area, when it is judged that the residual memory capacity is insufficient for storing the two faces of the original. Thus, it is possible to perform a plurality of number of both-face printing by compressing the inputted image data. |
