SOLUTION: When this portable telephone device 1 is folded, with no response to the incoming call, the presence of the incoming call is displayed on an external display unit 11. When an instruction for displaying unresponded incoming call history information is inputted from a side key 9, the incoming call date or the telephone number of the other party is displayed at the external display unit 11. Also, when the portable telephone device 1 is folded when receiving an electronic mail, the reception of the electronic mail is displayed at the external display unit 11. When an instruction for displaying the information related with the electronic mail is inputted form the side key 9, the title or contents of the electronic mail is displayed at the external display unit 11. When it is impossible to display the information in a batch, the whole information is displayed by scrolling or the like.
