Connection path diversion method for communications network establishes all cross connections in alternative connection path before breaking cross connections in existing call connection path

The method diverts an existing call connection to an alternative connection path between 2 network subscribers (NEa,NEz) in a communications network, by establishing the operative cross connections for all traffic carrying segments of the alternative connection path before breaking the cross connections for the traffic carrying segments of the existing call connection path.
