<p>An insulating cladding (12) e.g. a cladding for a steel pipe (10) comprises a plurality of discrete, preformed, substantially solid insulating bodies (14) embedded in a solid matrix (16). The solid insulating bodies are relatively inexpensive yet still provide excellent insulation. Moreover, the use of substantially solid insulating bodies avoids the problems of collapsing associated with hollow insulating bodies.</p> |
