Petrol engine carburettor has baffle plate with inclined section

A motor (1) has an air inlet (3) through a carburettor (2) which terminates in a suction inlet (4) for the mixture of air and fuel. The inlet (4) is partly covered by a baffle plate (5) which is transverse to the passage (3) longitudinal axis (6) and separate from the inlet (4). Together the baffle plate (5) and inlet (4) form a baffle chamber (7). The first section (8) of the baffle plate (5) is inclined at an angle ((1) to the longitudinal axis (6), causing fuel droplets (9) to form a film (10).
