Straightening machine (1) for straightening especially the beginning and end of rolled metal strips or sheets comprises offset upper and lower driven straightening rollers (5) positioned in a base frame (3) and in an upper traverse (4) connected via adjusting eccentrics (8) to the base frame. Preferred Features: The adjusting eccentrics are designed as suspension points for the upper traverse on both ends of inlet and outlet eccentric shafts (9, 10). The eccentric shafts are arranged in a plane lower than the straightening rollers supported by the base frame. Hydraulic cylinders (13) suspended on the adjusting eccentric of the inlet eccentric shaft are removably connected to the upper traverse at the end furthest away from the shaft. Connecting rods (14) suspended on the adjusting eccentric of the outlet eccentric shaft are positioned in the upper traverse with the end furthest away from the shaft.
