<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating nitrogen oxides capable of efficiently decomposing and removing a nitrogen oxide without using a material which gives a high load to environment such as ammonia, and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method comprises decomposing a nitrogen oxide under atmospheric pressure utilizing hot plasma having a high temperature of 2,000 K or more generated by arc discharge, high-frequency discharge, microwave discharge and the like.</p> |
