PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter in which pot seedlings packed together with a seedling tray are conveyed to a planting mechanism by a convey mechanism, and they are plated on a ridge surface in a field by the planting mechanism, and which can deliver the pot seedlings smoothly surely from the convey mechanism to the planting mechanism. SOLUTION: A transplanter A is provided with a longitudinally carrying mechanism L which conveys seedling trays B in the longitudinal direction, a laterally carrying mechanism M which receives the pot seedlings (a) conveyed by the longitudinally carrying mechanism L and conveys them in the lateral direction, and a rotary planting mechanism N which receives the pot seedlings (a) carried by the laterally carrying mechanism M and plants them on a ridge surface c. The terminal discharging position s, where the conveyed pot seedlings (a) are discharged at the terminal position of the laterally convey mechanism M, is positioned within the planting loci of the planting tine 32 of the planting mechanism N, and the pot seedlings (a) are held and delivered by the planting tine 32.
